• The grant can be used for any research-related expenses.

• Candidates will satisfy following requirement:

– has his/her independent laboratory in any government recognized
university or research institution in Mainland China

– has been an independent investigator for no longer than 7 years at time of application (who has not been supported by programs like The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (Young scientist fund A), Changjiang Scholars，etc.）

– Conduct fundamental research in fields of life science

– We would like to support young investigators with the following
traits: innovative, adventurous, ability to raise questions with
certain level of necessity in the field, and equally important, never compromise the truth

• The grant will be automatically suspended if the following
condition applies:

  – No longer engaged in research work in university or research institutes.

  – if the company ( majority share held by the PI) has completed its
first round of equity fund raising

* Upon confirmation of scientific misconduct (e.g., fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism, or any other behavior that intentionally misrepresents the research process or results) or other unlawful acts, the funding shall be terminated and disbursed funds shall be recovered.
